Vernon Litigation Group is investigating claims on behalf of investors sold American Finance Trust by their stockbroker. American Finance Trust is a real estate investment trust investment (REIT) issued by a company related to REIT dealer Nicholas Schorsch. In 2013, investors initially paid $25 per share for new issues of the company, with new investments totaling over a billion dollars. In 2017 American Finance Trust merged with American Realty Capital Retail Centers in a controversial deal. Earlier this year American Finance Trust received approval to be publicly traded on the Nasdaq. On July 19, 2018, American Finance Trust began trading under the symbol AFIN. AFIN has traded as low as $13.15 per share, and is currently trading below $15, or down over 40% from the original issue price. We assert that AFIN investors were led to believe they were purchasing a secure, income investment and, instead, received a high-commission product with substantial risks. If you or someone you know was sold AFIN in concentration you may have a claim for damages.
