Bulletin #10: Grants and Resources Available for Small Businesses

This is Vernon Litigation Group’s weekly bulletin to support local small business owners and help navigate the challenges of staying in business, supporting employees and clients, supporting the community, and positioning the business for growth and success on the other side of the COVID-19 crisis.

Many small businesses are encountering financial challenges due to COVID-19, but a silver lining is that there is an increasing number of grants and resources currently available to small businesses.

The following sources have compiled a list of options to consider that are designed to help small businesses make ends meet:

Small Business Trends wrote an article, “Coronavirus Grants Available for Struggling Small Businesses,” listing grants and financial assistance programs available to small businesses, which can be found here.

NerdWallet recently came out with an article, “Small-Business Grants: Where to Find Free Money,” providing a list of federal, state, and privately funded business grants and resources available for small businesses, which can be found here.

Nav published an article, “Small Business Grants COVID-19 Relief: Where to Find Free Money in 2020,” listing small business grants, which can be found here.

Withum wrote an article, “Small Business Grants Available in Florida Counties,” outlining numerous counties in Florida that have allocated funding received from the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act for grants to small businesses that have been economically impacted by COVID-19, which can be found here.

The Institute for Local Self-Reliance recently published, “Our Big List of Covid-19 Assistance Programs,” listing grant and loan programs that aim to help small businesses weather the COVID-19 storm, which can be found here.
